Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedWe signed up for Index My Site, verified by email, and drove the whole app: the jobs list, the Index URLs form with a real five-URL batch and a named job, the sitemap importer, projects and the new-project dialog, credits, and all three settings panes. The app is unusually calm for a tool in this category - no dashboard clutter, one obvious action, and a sidebar you could explain to someone in a sentence.
- The submit form does the counting for youPaste five URLs and it immediately says 5 URLs ready and relabels the button to Check and submit 5 URLs. It also pre-fills the job name as lastest.cloud · 28 Sept from the pasted domain. Small touches, but they remove every decision that isn't the real one.
- The credit model is stated where it matters, not just on pricingOne credit indexes one URL, credits never expire, and a URL confirmed as not indexed returns its credit - that refund promise is repeated on the form itself, right above the button. That is the single most reassuring thing on the page.
- Three ways in, documented equallyWeb app, CLI and MCP server all get first-class docs. For a tool whose users are developers and SEO folk who live in scripts, shipping the MCP endpoint alongside the UI is the right call.
- A new account lands on an empty app with zero credits and no way to try anythingAfter verifying our email we arrived at Jobs with 0 credits, and the primary button is disabled with Buy credits to start next to it. The first purchase starts at $25. So the very first thing a new user can do in your product is spend $25 on something they have not seen work. Even three free credits - enough to index one page and watch the check run - would let the product prove itself before the paywall.
- The job-name field ignores a programmatic fillSetting the Job name input through anything other than a real focus-then-type sequence leaves it empty while looking filled. It cost us a run to notice. Worth checking that the field is a properly controlled input, since the same pattern can bite password managers and autofill.
- Check and submit / Buy credits·Purchase and spend actions - deliberately not clicked
