Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedLobby.domains is a no-signup AI domain-name generator (built by Dale Hurley as 'a side project of a side project'). Single-page dark-mode product with a yellow accent: type your app idea, select a TLD (or .com by default), click 'LET LOBBY HUNT', and 20+ AI-generated candidates render below with availability checks. Real LLM call (~10-15s), real product loop, zero friction to try.
- True zero-friction try — no signup, no captcha, no anti-botAnonymous visitors get the full product experience on the first interaction. Captured: prompted 'A visual regression testing platform for indie SaaS founders' and received 20 candidates including chromocompare, pixelguard, snapdiff, sandbosight, pixelpilot. Each with a one-line description.
- TLD toggle bar plus default-orange CTA9 TLD options visible (.com / .io / .ai / .co / .net / .org / .app / .dev / +) — selecting one updates the result counter inline. The single 'LET LOBBY HUNT' submit keeps the interaction surface uncluttered.
- Inline availability counter ('20 / 1 / 20 / 19')After generation, a four-number stat bar shows total / something / something / available — quick at-a-glance signal. Smart UX for a high-volume domain check.
- Result counter's number labels are abbreviated to single characters'20 / 1 / 20 / 19' is shown without verbose labels — clear once you've used the tool but opaque on first view. A tooltip or expanded label would help first-timers.
- LLM response is non-deterministic (different domains each call)Re-running the same prompt yielded a different set of 20 names. Real users will notice this; consider a 'lock seed' or 'these don't fit, try again' control.
- No way to bookmark / save a generated listRefreshing loses everything. Users who want to share favorites with co-founders have to screenshot. A 'copy as markdown' or shareable list URL would close the loop.
