Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedMicro Coach's marketing site is striking — bold dark theme, confident 'Stop Guessing. Start Getting Stronger.' hero, three feature-focused subpages, and a five-step lead-capture wizard that quietly does a lot of work before asking for an email. The web layer is intentionally a funnel into the iOS/Android app, so there is no web dashboard to walk into; the wizard interaction IS the founder's primary web business flow.
- Lead funnel disguised as a fitness questionnaireThe /get-started wizard collects goal, schedule, gym access, name, age, activity level across five steps — only at the end does it ask for an email. That sequencing is a textbook conversion pattern: by step 5 the visitor has already invested two minutes, so they're far more likely to hand over the email.
- Feature pages do real SEO workEach capability has its own marketing page (/ai-workout-planner, /training-block-workout, /progressive-overload-tracker). The URLs themselves are keyword-targeted long-tails — strong organic discovery play for a niche fitness audience.
- Confident hero copy'Stop Guessing. Start Getting Stronger.' is a much stronger founder-voice line than the usual 'AI-powered fitness platform.' It frames the product as a fix for a specific pain (random workouts) rather than a feature list.
- Web signup is mobile-only with no in-page nudge/login says 'Sign up on the app — accounts are created in the mobile app only' but the marketing pages never warn visitors. A web visitor who completes the 5-step wizard and lands on the email-capture step still has no way to actually USE the product from a desktop browser. Adding a 'continues in the mobile app' line near the hero CTAs would set expectations earlier.
- No visible cookie/consent bannerProbably an oversight rather than a feature — most EU traffic will expect one. Worth checking if analytics is firing pre-consent.
- Wizard Next button is enabled even before required selections register on some stepsStep 3 (schedule) accepted Next when the visible state showed selected buttons but the underlying form state hadn't recorded the click — a non-deterministic submission risk for less patient visitors.
- /app·404 — no web app surface; product is iOS/Android only
- /dashboard, /workout, /exercises, etc.·Same — all SPA 404 fallbacks; no authenticated web routes exist
