Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedWe registered on FlagUp with email + password, landed straight in the app with no verify wall, created the 'lastest-demo' project and drove every signed-in route: Dashboard, Feedback, Suggestions, Roadmap, Changelog, Churn Insights, AI Assistant, the widget builder, both settings pages, Membership, Profile and Notifications. The thing that stands out is how much of the product a brand-new account can actually see - most feedback tools hide the roadmap and changelog behind a paid tier or a populated workspace. Yours renders them empty but labelled, so a first-time visitor understands the whole loop in about ninety seconds.
- Signup lands you in the product, not in your inboxEmail + password created a session immediately - the verify-email prompt is a dismissible banner, not a wall. That alone puts you ahead of most of the feedback tools we walk.
- Zero-states are labelled, not blankRoadmap shows TO DO / IN PROGRESS / REJECTED swimlanes at 0 items; Changelog says 'No releases yet'. The structure teaches the workflow before there's any data in it.
- Quota is visible from the first screen'50 / 50 feedbacks left' sits in the top bar with a progress track. No hunting through billing to find out what the free tier actually gives you.
- The install nudge is persistent but polite'Your widget is not installed yet - Install now' stays pinned on the dashboard. It's the one action that makes the product work, and you keep it in front of the user without a modal.
- Five critical accessibility violations on the authed shellOur run scored the signed-in pages at 72 with 5 critical axe failures across 27 rules checked. For a widget that embeds into other people's products, a11y is a procurement question as much as an ethics one - worth a pass before anyone asks.
- Auto-generated username is user-facingThe account menu shows 'clever-bear-3421' as the identity across the whole app, including the profile page. It reads like a placeholder that escaped - prompting for a display name during project creation would fix it.
- Create suggestion box (submit)·We opened the composer and typed a title but stopped short of creating the record in the founder's workspace.
