export async function test(page, baseUrl, screenshotPath, stepLogger) {
  const shot = (n, slug) => screenshotPath.replace('.png', `-${n}-${slug}.png`);

  // ── Auth: replayed session refreshed by a guarded inline sign-in ──
  // Supabase access tokens are short-lived, so the login is attempted every run.
  // Guards keep the path linear: when the replayed session is already valid the
  // fills no-op and the walk continues.
  stepLogger.log('Auth: guarded inline sign-in');
  await page.goto(baseUrl + '/login', { waitUntil: 'domcontentloaded' });

Notes from the demo run

AI-generated

We created a Dealenz account, confirmed the email, then drove the signed-in workspace: the 10-credit deal dashboard, the settings tabs and business profile, the plain-language deal library, the counterparty research form and the new-deal audit wizard. The writing is the strongest part of the product - the empty states tell a first-time user exactly what will appear and why, which is rare.

Highlights
  • Empty states that teach
    Drafts, Signing and Tracker each explain what will land there and link the next step ('Analyze a deal and generate a proposal, contract, or agreement - every draft lands here'). A new account is never staring at a blank page.
  • The library takes plain English
    'which deals have an uncapped liability clause' as a first-class query, with the example supplied in the placeholder, sets the expectation correctly before any deal exists.
  • Credits are stated up front
    10 credits in the header and 'Every analysis, 5 credits' on billing means a user knows the cost of the primary action before they spend it.
Friction points
  • Email confirmation does not sign you in
    The confirm link returns to / with a ?code= parameter but the PKCE exchange never completes, so a user who just confirmed still lands on the marketing page signed out. We had to sign in manually afterwards. Handling the code on the landing route would close the loop.
  • Dashboard can take over 30s to paint
    Twice during our walk /dashboard and /inbox exceeded a 30s load budget and had to be retried, while lighter routes like /drafts returned immediately.
Couldn't reach
  • /billing Buy credits·Payment action - never clicked in a demo
  • /inbox·Gmail import; exceeded the load budget during probing
