Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedloggd is a gamified life-tracker — habits, tasks, a focus timer, notes, goals, vision, badges and a leaderboard, all in one dark, polished workspace. Email+password signup auto-logs you straight in (no confirmation step) to your personal /@username space. Creating a first habit from the rich 'Pick a habit' template gallery fires a '+4 XP earned' celebration and drops a 365-day contribution heatmap on the dashboard.
- Zero-friction onboarding + instant rewardSignup auto-logs in, and adding the first habit triggers a 'First habit created! +4 XP earned' toast with a 'What's next?' checklist — a textbook activation loop that pulls users deeper on day one.
- Template gallery removes the blank page'Pick a habit' offers dozens of ready templates (Drink 8 glasses of water, Exercise 30 min, Sleep 8 hours, GitHub Activity, Post on Threads…) across Health/Nutrition/Mind/Productivity categories — far better than an empty 'name your habit' input.
- Genuinely broad surfaceHabits, Tasks, Timer, Notes, Goals, Vision, Badges and Leaderboard are all built — this is a real product with a complete 'track → plan → compete' loop, not an MVP.
- Template tiles can swallow clicksIn the 'Pick a habit' gallery, the tile's text node intercepted pointer events — a programmatic click on the label didn't register until we targeted the enclosing button/forced the click. Worth ensuring the whole tile is the click target (also helps touch + a11y).
- Dense first-run for newcomersThe sidebar exposes 9 sections immediately; a lighter first-run focus (just Habits) with progressive reveal might reduce overwhelm.
