Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedWe signed into Pickle Tasks and used it exactly as intended: it's a delightfully single-purpose 'decision jar' — you drop tasks in, hit 'Pick something', and it chooses for you. We added four real tasks (reply to investor email, ship the landing page, record the demo video, review the PR), watched the jar fill with age tags (new / 3h / 4h), and exercised the pick + complete loop. The whole surface is one calm page — no nav, no settings maze.
- One-job clarityThe entire product is one screen: an oversized 'Pick something' button over an add-to-jar input. Zero onboarding needed — the value is obvious in the first second.
- Task-age tagsEach jar item shows how long it's sat (new / 3h / 4h) and a 'pickled today' counter — a small, honest nudge that turns a random picker into a gentle backlog-ager.
- Duplicate tasks allowed silentlyAdding the same task text twice creates two identical jar entries with no dedupe hint — intentional for repeat chores, but a subtle 'already in the jar' cue would prevent accidental doubles.
- No empty-state guidanceA brand-new jar shows just the input; a one-line 'add a few things you're avoiding' prompt would land the concept even faster for first-timers.
