AI-generatedWe created an account, went through all seven onboarding steps, and then drove the signed-in app: scoreboard, the Stat Query record book, rankings and leaders, the playoff picture, matchup lab, conference simulator, all 70 AP ballots, pick-em pools, the arcade, news and the TV schedule. The amount of real data behind this is the story. Stat Query answered 'every Player Season with 4,000+ passing yards' with 146 results ranked instantly, and the free-tier cut at three rows is the most honest paywall we have walked all week: you see the count, you see the top of the list, and you know exactly what you are buying.
- Stat Query is a real query builder, not a search boxFourteen data sets (Player Seasons, Careers, Advanced Teams, Player Situations, Recruits, Transfer Portal, NFL Draft, Honors), stat filters with comparison operators, season and class scoping, chosen result columns and an analyze-by axis. We built Pass Yds >= 4,000 on Player Seasons and got 146 results back sorted, with Bailey Zappe's 5,967 on top. That is a product in its own right.
- The paywall tells you what you are missing'Showing 3 of 146 - Full tables, 150 years deep, with the Heisman plan' sits right under the results. The user learns the query worked, learns the answer exists, and learns the price of seeing it, in one line. Compare that with the usual blur overlay.

Picking Georgia carried through to the app icon step and into the scoreboard's Favorites filter. Long onboardings usually feel like data collection - this one visibly personalised the thing we landed in.
- Onboarding ends on a full-screen paywall with no visible way outAfter step 7 of 7 we landed on IRON SEASON PASS with plan cards and no Skip, Maybe later or close control anywhere on the screen. We only got into the app by pressing Escape, which is not discoverable. A new free user finishing onboarding can reasonably conclude the app is paid-only and leave right there.
- The Create Account button ignores programmatic clicksFilling the form and clicking Create Account through normal automation did nothing at all - no request left the browser. Only a real mouse press on the button's coordinates fired it. That is the react-native-web pressable pattern, and the same thing will block password managers, some accessibility tooling and any keyboard-only submit. Worth checking that Enter in the password field submits the form.
