Notes from the demo run
AI-generatedGameLog is a clean, tightly-scoped early-beta game tracker: a Tinder-style swipe deck (Discover) drives the core loop, backed by a profile-centric taste card, a global catalog search, a community activity feed, and curated lists. Visual design is dark, high-contrast, gradient-accented, and consistent across every surface. Sign-in is a single email+password form living inline on /app/profile with no separate route.
- Real community activityThe Activity feed pulled genuine posts from the founder himself (@jesse) reviewing Dead Cells 5 stars and building lists (Cyberpunk 2077, Gimmick!) -- this is a live, populated beta, not an empty shell.
- Explainable Taste MatchEach discovery card shows a percentage match plus concrete reasons ("Similar to games you saved", "Matches your favorite genres", "Popular on your platforms") -- rare transparency for a recommendation feature at this stage.
- Swipe deck advances correctly on every actionSave, Want to Play, and Skip each produced a genuinely new card (Dungeons of Dreadrock to Deltarune to System Shock 2 to Disco Elysium), confirming the core interaction loop works end to end.
- Password field not exposed as an ARIA textboxThe sign-in password <input type="password"> is wrapped in a <label> but is not resolvable via getByRole("textbox") in Playwright/most a11y tooling -- only getByLabel or a raw CSS selector reaches it. Minor a11y-tooling gap worth a look since it also affects screen-reader form navigation semantics on some assistive tech.
- Sign-in confirmation is slow to settleAfter submitting valid credentials, the authenticated UI (Sign out button, profile content) took several seconds to replace the sign-in form -- a fast client-side optimistic state change while the Supabase round trip completes would make the transition feel snappier.
